Dear Dancers & Families,

Here it is the month of Thanksgiving yet again. Every time we step into the studio we are reminded of how much we have to be grateful for. Our student body, from the youngest three year olds to our senior citizens, brings us countless hours of joy as do our faculty and staff who do so much to make us all feel like a family. You are all sincerely appreciated.

May you enjoy a restful and happy Thanksgiving with your family & friends.

Best wishes,
Maggie & Nancy K. Dennis

Costume Sizes
Remember the following sizes are special orders: Child Extra Small (CXS), Child Extra Large (CXL) & Adult Extra Large (AXL). These sizes can not be exchanged or returned for an alternate size and are more expensive since they are cut individually.

Costume Bills
Costume bills were distributed the week of Nov. 9th. Bills do not include tights. If you made a costume deposit, it was deducted from your bill. Costumes may be paid for in cash or by check made payable to MAGGIE DENNIS, and must be separate from tuition payments. One check may be written for costumes & tights. To arrange an alternate payment schedule, call Nancy at 860-443-1154.

Costume Payments
Payments are due Tuesday, December 1st, 2009.
All payments received or postmarked after December 1st will incur a $20 processing fee since a separate order must be made with the costume company. Costume payments are non-refundable.

Ways to Pay Your Bill
1.  Drop it at the studio during operating hours.
2.  Leave it in the envelope on the Chapman Studio door 24 hours/day.
3.  Mail it to Maggie Dennis, 8 Chapman Avenue, Quaker Hill, CT 06375.

Please do not use the mailbox outside the New London Studio since it is not secure.

Costume Ordering
All costumes & tights are ordered in December to insure they arrive prior to picture days at the end of April. We expect costumes to arrive in late March or early April. Please see your teacher for a picture of you costume. It is our current policy to order costumes only for students whose tuition payments are up to date.

Holiday Gift Drive
Our annual holiday gift drive is in full swing. In lieu of holiday gifts for the faculty & staff, please consider donating a gift on our behalf to the Child & Family Agency of Southeastern CT. The Agency has provided a wish list that we've turned into a gift tree that hangs at both studios. For a complete list of items needed, see the desk staff. Your participation is, of course, voluntary.

Bring your unwrapped gifts to the studio on or before Saturday, December 19th. We will deliver all donations to the agency in time for the holidays.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you, and have a wonderful holiday season!

THE EVELYN ERVING
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

Congratulations to Elizabeth Tompkins who is the recipient of the 6th Evelyn Erving Dance Scholarship.

The Evelyn Erving Dance Scholarship is awarded biennially to a student who shows dedication to the art of dance.  The award was founded in memory of Evelyn Erving, mother of Maggie Dennis.  Mrs. Erving was a professional dancer and teacher who established the Evelyn Erving School of Dance in northern New York where she taught for 36 years.

Elizabeth is an eighth grader, and has been studying dance at The Dance Extension since the age of nine.  She is the daughter of Robert & Bonnie Tompkins of Groton.
