Tuition Plan
To take advantage of
our discounted rates (1st column of the tuition
chart), be sure your October installment is
paid in person or postmarked on or before the 10th
day of the month. Payment envelopes are
available at the desk.
If your installment is received or postmarked
after the 10th, the rates in the 2nd column of the
tuition chart apply.

Note from the Directors
Welcome to The Dance Extension! It is
wonderful to see so many new faces at the
studio, and as always, we're delighted to
have our former students return for
another year of dance!
We are excited to welcome Christine
Poland to our staff and to have Gayle
McKinney-Griffith return for another
season!
We are happy to announce that Kids in
Motion, our new performing company for
young dancers ages 8-10 will perform for
the very first time this weekend! We
are looking forward to seeing them shine!
Preparations for our biennial performance
are well underway. Read ahead for
important dates and details! Please
check in regularly with the desk staff
when you're at the studio for class.
They're always available to answer your
questions!

The
Community Dance Ensemble (CDE) is proud to
announce the dancers selected for the
2009-2010 performing company. Junior Company
dancers are Natalie Anderson, Crystal Diaz,
Sarah Ferrraro, Tressa Fornari, Zakkiyya
Griffin, Rachel Moniz, Chloe Obach, Hannah
Rood, Stacia Tibbetts & Elizabeth Tompkins
Teen Company dancers are Margaux Blank, Kai
Chattar-Sinclair, Angela DeJong, Julia
Engel, Sarah Hysong, Morgan Lynch, Frankie
Ann Marcille, Emily Minton, Leah Minton,
Rebecca Morrell, Rebekah Patton, Aleisha
Roberts, Catherine Rucci, Julia Scott
& Janelle Timmons
Last summer the CDE traveled to Pennsylvania
to perform for visitors at Hershey Park. This
winter the CDE will perform for the
residents of Crescent Point in Niantic and
Baview Health Care Center in Waterford,
and also attend the Tremaine Convention in
New York City.

The Dance Extension's success is due in
large part to word of mouth referrals and
loyal students who continue to learn and
grow with us over the years. We've
created the Tell A Friend Referral Program
to reward loyal students & supporters
who continuously play an active role in
keeping our studio alive and vibrant. Earn
tuition credit by simply referring friends,
neighbors & co-workers!
Details:
Every time you refer a *new student
to The Dance Extension who enrolls for a
month or more of classes, we thank you with
a $10 credit for tuition. To receive
the credit, the new student must turn in a
referral card with your name on it, or enter
your name in the referral section of his/her
registration form at the time of
registration.
Referral cards are available at the desk and
at the end of this newsletter.
*Brand New Students who have never taken
class at The Dance Extension. The new
student may not be a member of your
immediate family.
Free
Tuition
If you have the most
referrals under the criteria listed above
(with a minimum of 10), you will be entered
into a drawing to receive FREE TUITION for
one student for the 2010-2011 dance season.
This is a value of up to $2000! (No
cash value. Credit cannot be carried over,
refunded or transferred.)

Waterford High School
This season is a "performance
year". The Dance Extension will
give two performances at Waterford High
School in May. Get ready for dances
inspired by an unforgettable (though
imaginary) trip aboard a cruise ship. All
students are welcome and encouraged to
perform, however, participation is
voluntary! Students who choose not
to participate are, of course, welcome
to continue taking classes at the
studio.
Costume
Measurements:
Measurements will be taken October 5th -
17th by the desk staff. Costumes are
ordered in December to insure they
arrive in time for picture days in
April.
Costume
Sizes: Sizes are
generated by our computer and will be at
the desk starting Monday, October
19th. Parents/students must approve all
costume sizes on or before Saturday, October
24th. Remember to allow for 8
months of growth when considering your
costume size. To change the computer
generated size, see the desk staff.
Note: Extra small and extra large
sized costumes are special orders,
and therefore they can not be exchanged
for alternate sizes and are higher
priced than regular sizes.
Costume
Deposits: We accept
voluntary deposits through Saturday,
November 21st. We highly recommend
making a deposit as costume
payments are due 12/1/09.

Tuesday, December 1st.
