Registration

Registration is on a first come, first served basis, and can be done online, by mail, or in person during Registration Days in August.  If you are new to the area, call us anytime for registration information.  We sometimes have six or eight week sessions for certain classes that are not part of our semester schedule.

Registration is complete when student’s first month or semester tuition and annual non-refundable registration fee are received.  The family registration fee is for immediate family, and does not apply to siblings over the age of 18, cousins, in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, etc. The school must be advised, in writing, of all pre-existing physical, medical conditions, and allergies.

Class Placement

Students are individually placed in classes best suited to their skill level, dance experience, age, and attitude.  Placement is evaluated in September, and if necessary transfers are recommended.  Progress is assessed in the spring when the teachers give recommendations for future class placement to the directors.

Trial Classes

Trial classes (two maximum) may be taken at the beginning of the student’s registration to determine if the student would like to join a class. Trial class fees are deducted from the student’s tuition for the same type of class taken and for the month in which the trail class was taken. Monthly tuition will be determined by the rate on the date the registration fee was received. Trial classes cannot be taken in classes that have reached capacity.  A spot will not be held for students taking trial classes.

Monthly Plan · Semester Plan · Class Card

Monthly Plan

The yearly fee is divided into nine (9) equal monthly installments due on THE FIRST DAY of each month.  Tuition is discounted for payments made in person or postmarked on or before the 10th day of the month. (1st Column of the Tuition Chart.)  Students paying after the 10th day of the month must pay the full tuition rate (2nd Column of the Tuition Chart) that is $7 additional per student regardless of absence, illness, class cancellations due to weather, vacations, etc. To receive discounted rates, it is the student's responsibility to make payment in person or have it postmarked on or before the 10th day of the month regardless of class absence or class cancellation due to weather.

A $10.00 late fee is added to all unpaid accounts after the last day of any month. Monthly payment envelopes are available at the desk to take home as a reminder.  Once registered, students may not skip months.

Semester Plan

(5% discount)

The yearly fee is divided into two (2) equal installments (3rd Column on the Tuition Chart) due on September 8th and January 26th.  Each semester is 4.5 months (16 weeks of class.)  There are no refunds for voluntary withdrawal mid-semester.  Letters are sent in January outlining second semester tuition.  A $10 late fee is charged for 2nd semester payments received or postmarked after the deadline. Students are automatically enrolled for 2nd semester and do not need to re-register.

Class Cards

Students who cannot commit to the full year of classes may purchase a class card good for eight (1 hour) classes. Cards are non-transferable; cannot be used for classes that have reached capacity; non-refundable if lost; and expire after one calendar year.  Students with class cards must pay the non-refundable annual registration fee.

Withdrawals

Written notification to the office (not the teacher) is required prior to the first day of the next month or semester to withdraw the student from class and cancel registration.

Without written notification, the student’s space is held and tuition and late fees are invoiced to the account. Tuition is payable until notification is received regardless of attendance.

Statements

The Dance Extension, LLC issues statements for overdue accounts only.  Monthly statements will not be mailed, however, students with unpaid accounts as of the 11th day of the month will receive a statement reflecting increased tuition rates.  Payment envelopes are available at the desk to take home as a reminder. Students with outstanding balances over 30 days may not participate in class or performances.  If experiencing financial difficulties, please call the office to arrange a payment schedule.
