Introductory Classes

Is your child new to dance and you'd like to him/her to try out a class?

Or are you new to the area and searching for a dance home?

We'd love to learn more about you; what you're looking for in a dance studio; and assist you in finding the perfect class.

We recommend attending an Introductory class so you can get to know our program, and meet our enthusiastic faculty and class assistants. Leveling classes are also available for those with previous experience.

Schedule Your Class

How do I schedule an Introductory Class?

Call our Support Team at 860.443.1154, 12 noon - 4 pm, M-F. We are happy to assist you. After speaking with you, we will send an email confirmation with all of the details of your Introductory class.

When are Introductory classes available?

Introductory classes are available whenever classes are in session. They are scheduled during regular class time so new students can meet our faculty, assistants and classmates.

Introductory classes may be taken in any class which has not yet reached capacity.

Can you hold a spot for me/my child until the Intro Class?

We're sorry, but we are unable to hold spaces for students not yet enrolled at The Dance Extension. Since the majority of registrations are completed online, class enrollment can change daily. If a class should fill prior to your scheduled Introductory class, we will make every effort to contact you.

What attire is needed for the Introductory Class?

Dancewear (any color) is preferred, however, comfortable athletic attire is permitted. Only dance shoes are permitted on our dance floors. We have a limited stock of used shoes at both studios to accommodate dancers taking Introductory classes. For hip hop, please bring clean sneakers that have not been worn outside so our floors remain free of dirt, grass, gravel, etc.

What is the cost?

45-60 minute class: $14 per Introductory Class (Cash Only)

75-90 minute class: $18 per Introductory Class (Cash Only)

Upon enrollment, the Introductory class fees may be deductible. If the Introductory class is taken on or after the processing date of the selected tuition plan's current installment, the fee is deductible from the current tuition installment.

When is the Annual Membership due?

The Annual Membership is due upon enrollment. The member fee reserves a spot for you/your child in our space limited classes and is applied to insurance and administrative costs of enrollment.

Can I change the Introductory class once it's scheduled?

Yes. Please call our Support Team at 860.443.1154, 12 noon - 4 pm, M-F, and we will be happy to assist you.

Where are the studios located?

Please visit our Contact Page.

What forms of payment do you accept for Introductory classes?
