Spotlight Program

Ages 6+

Join our amazing dance family, and be part of an exciting experience at TDE!

Are you looking for a diverse program taught by inspiring teachers who encourage your child to be the best they can be?

The Spotlight Program at TDE inspires a love of dance and learning in every one of our students. Students can select from a wide array of classes that fit their individual interests. As students progress through each level, their achievements are celebrated and they feel a great sense of accomplishment. A life long appreciation for the arts has begun!

Students are encouraged to enroll in one or more core & supporting classes. We encourage all students to study ballet since it is the foundation of all dance forms and necessary for proper progression in tap, jazz and modern/contemporary.

TDE Parents Share: "Not only are you great dance teachers, but we feel you teach much more than that; including manners, morals, and how to be a good person, which are invaluable in today's society. We think it is wonderful that you have the Community Dance Ensemble through which you teach your students to give back to the community and others."  - Nathan & Michelle Booth

Spotlight Program classes (Levels A-D) are the foundation for advancement through the Intensive program. Each level's curriculum builds upon the foundation established in the previous level.

Placement is based on both age and dance experience. Typically, it takes students 1 year to complete Spotlight Levels 1 (A) & 2 (B), and 2-3 years to complete Spotlight Level 3 (C-D) since the syllabi for upper levels span several years. Like athletes, dancers progress faster when taking multiple weekly classes as the curriculum of each class supports the others giving the student a stronger foundation for progression.

Academic Year Tuition

Tuition is based on the number of hours a dancer takes class per week. The Academic Year begins in September and ends in May and is comprised of 32 weeks. Tuition for the Academic Year is payable via one of our three simple Installment Plans outlined below.

Note: Plans may not be changed mid-season.

Installment plans are based on a yearly fee for the 32 week season rather than the number of classes in any given month.

The 1st Tuition Installment and the Annual Member Fee are due at the time of registration.

Annual Membership (Non-Refundable)

$25 Individual / $40 Family (Immediate)

Tuition is the same whether taking class In Person or online through the Digital Dance Academy.

Tuition is non-refundable and will not be refunded or prorated for unattended or cancelled classes. In the case of prolonged illness/injury (verified by a Physician), a Tuition Credit less a processing fee are at the Director's discretion.

The Acrobatic Arts program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling.

This comprehensive program was developed with input from professionals and experts in ballet, modern dance, jazz, contortion, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, acro yoga, pilates, physiotherapy, hand balancing and more. Simple thoughtful progressions take the beginner level dancer from log rolls and somersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the studio!

Benefits of Acrobatic (Acro) Dance: Acro fundamentals increase technical levels for all other dance disciplines. Additionally the limbering and tumbling skills gained through Acro add verstility to the dancer's training. Not only does the student develop the foundational skills to perform aerials and back handsprings, it improves his/her ability to leap and turn in all dance technique classes. Current trends in choreography include acrobatic dance.
